So i have been a bit quiet mmm where do i start.....we went to the queens park markets at toowoomba was bitterly cold but its such a gorgeous setting...this week end is the handmade expo... i have been super busy sewing loads of new bags and new brooches ....funny how the time just slips away i was having heaps of problems with blogger its still not back to the old but at least i can post now ....so there is no excuse for not staying in touch plus i have had the flu for 2 weeks oh well on the mend now ....so lots of excitement coming times are a changing will fill you in as it happens so blog friends i hope you are all happy and well...until next time....

Well busy day met lots of new people was all round a success.....sold lots of bags it was a bag day so now you know what that means mmmm restocking as i have booked for 3 possibly 4 markets next month i am going to be busy and another shop has approached me to supply them (more on that later) so off to the sewing machine will post pics of the new creations as they are finished...until next time.....

Ok so where have we been....my daughter turned 21 we had a hoedown party...took weeks to set up went very well we all had a cracking time lol.....
me and the sherriff (i was a version of dolly parton lol)

the boss and i you can just imagine what i was saying (YOU'RE FIRED) rotfl.....

and my boy turned 16 owwwww cute....now he wants to learn to drive mmmm :-(

and a tiny bit of craft slowly getting back into it now its all settled down im back in the craft room sewing up a storm mug bags $14.50 ea ...so thats my month in review i need a good lay down lol....

So the car was packed loads of new items we went to the handmade expo yesterday.....there was only a bit of rain ....sold loads of bags and notebooks we had a great day we always do, we catch up with stall holders and friends we have met through our creating....always lovely we look forward to our outings..... we always have fun and always there is lots of laughter.... thanks everyone for making our day :-)

Ok so i love recycling you should see some of the things i have made.....so my neighbour came home the other day with a ute full of pallets and i asked what he was doing ....mmmm he was dumping them....guess who owns them now so far i have made some garden benches but my next project is a potting shed with lots of glass windows and doors it is going to look awesome will show a pic when its finished.....until next time....

Ok so i havent had the internet for a week silly how we get so dependant on it, i love catching up with what everyone is doing in the crafting creating world.....so i have alot to update for you i have been asked how 'Mabel' my old dodge pick up is going so here goes....everything has been stripped back she was nothing but a pile of nuts and bolts she looked pathetic the poor old girl but ......now she is back to a rolling chassis she has had refurbished springs has new brakes coming all her panels are nearly ready for paint (guess who keeps changing her mind about paint mmmm) so she is coming along nicely we didnt realise she had so much rust unfortunately but she has had all new metal welded in she is looking awesome so there you go when the painting starts i will show you more pics.......

wow what a week have been chained to the machine except for saturday .....the sales manager (larzee) lol and i went on a road trip we did garage sales op shops and the best of all woolongabba collectables and antique shop wow what a place we love it....some of our purchases (which i havent taken pics of yet but i will) a cane crab pot and a glass bouy ( bit of a theme going i think ) and a lovely old set of timber small wagon wheels very cute they were the major finds......so now onto business lots of restocking as our levels were getting very low, working on a gorgeous new bag design that i love and some new bears and journals......will share them all soon anyway.....until next time......

So things are getting back to normal around here i have a new modem hurray i was lost with out the internet.....lol.....i did get alot of sewing done though so alot to catch up expo was saturday queens park was sunday we both ended up sunburnt hot and tired but we survived lol......i have an awful lot of sewing to get done and gardening and house work so much to do so little time....there should be 48 hrs in each day .... i wish.....

so i can share pics again so the top one is of the little notebooks we make they are $10.50 each and the bottom is birthday keepers great for remembering all those dates, in my family there are stacks they are $8.50 ea...till next time......

Wow what a weekend....first we went to the handmade expo on saturday and it was super hot but fantastic day had by all even though we melted lol.....then on sunday we headed up the mountain to Queens park markets at toowoomba what a beautiful setting in amongst the trees we had an awesome day met lots and lots of new people it was another great day.....we are now both tired hot and sloshing around as we must of drank enough water juice etc to fill a pool lol.....until next time(after we recover abit).........

Well the last week has been a doosie.....have been with no internet now i only have limited till i get sent a proper modem, i have this little stick in thingy that only works on the laptop in the middle off the front yard lol.......the neighbours think its hilarious.......so no more pics till the newbie gets here hopefully not too much longer.....we are off to the handmade expo tomorrow at the bundamba turf club from 8am till 2pm make sure you come and say hi if you are in the area.....so much to do so little time until next time.......

I have had such an emotional day today we went to my inlaws place down at yeronga not far from the river it was inundated with water....we went down today to clean the back yard up for them ,people came out from everywhere, it has restored my faith in mankind we were overwhelmed with the generocity, people were baking all night to keep us fed and cold drinks, they just kept coming .......one of the worse things i saw was my mother in law whose sewing room was washed away , she found her fabrics cottons etc up trees tangled in the mud i know she said it didnt bother her but i know different so thats where you my blogging buddies come in .....if you have any sewing needs ( fabric anything) that you no longer need i know someone who would make good use of them she loves nothing more than sewing for her 14 grandchildren....drop me a line if you can help i would appreciate it sooooooo much........thanks larz (my bestie) for everything today you worked your backside off .......until next time .......

I sit here writing this with tears rolling down my face i can not comprehend what has happened in the last few days it has been an extremely gut wrenching time we live in the lockyer valley where alot of lives were lost....my family are all safe we were flooded in for a week we have minor property damage......my in laws are at Yeronga their house went under we can not get to them the roads are still cut......we will get there eventually.....there are alot of people helping them......my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this flood......
i simply can not watch the news anymore it is so so sad......

Wow what a day we were more prepared for the wind which wasnt as bad as last month but we hung in there for the entire day woohoo.....funny thing happened on the way to the expo this month was driving along i think it was about 4:15 in the morning and i came to a screeching stop moved to the side of the road rubbing my eyes not believing what i was seeing(mmmm) got out of the car with one of our table cloths ready to rescue what was sitting in the middle of the road im thinking how am i going to pick this up and drive mmmm so i inch closer saying its alright you will be ok got closer thinking oh you poor little koala sitting there on the road so i bend to pick it up and to my disgust it was not a koala but a mmmm.......

brown paper macdonalds take away bag i know you are all rolling around laughing your backsides off....dont worry Lara did too....time to get the eyes checked and drink more coffee b4 i leave home....mmm thought id share.....

What a day we had oh my goodness.....i left home at 2:45am headed into Ipswich to pick the offsider up (lara) and off we headed up the mountain....WOW beautiful drive even though it was long well worth it....it was a huge day we met so many lovely people only a few brief showers which was great and the crowds wowee 4+ deep at times i dont think we sat down till 12:30ish we had soooooo many lovely comments and YES we will be back lol......
this gorgeous little girl (Ruby) here with her Grandma loves owls just like me and her grandma bought her one of ours and she had to wear it straight away she was sooooo cute.....Hi RUBY!!!!!!

Well Lara and i are off to tambourine markets tomorrow looking forward to it i used to go to these markets years ago and always loved the setting.....in the showgrounds(Main western Road) 8am-2pm if you happen to be in the area make sure you stop and say hi...until next time....

Well today i went over to Mimmis a new shop opening at Forest Hill Queensland its massive wow just big..... impressive.....will look fantastic when its all kitted out she had asked if i would like to sell a few bits and pieces in her shop so today i dropped some goodies off to her.....so be sure you go check out her blog....she opens 11th November oooo cant wait to see it when its full of goodies.....until next time......

the garden is alive with colour we have hundreds of frogs hidden in everything even my work boots lol.....
so many vibrant yellows this is as big as a bread and butter plate.....

and i have no idea what this tree is if you know let me know we have stacks of them this is there seed pods after they have flowered they feel like velvet .......

last but not least it doesnt really show the vege patch but we have planted snow peas corn rainbow silverbeet cherry tomatoes peas cucumber rhubarb and butternut pumpkins the kids are so excited they have all taken off really well will keep you posted......i could live in the garden all day but my sewing machine is calling lots to do coming up to christmas so until next time......

The expo at the weekend was soooooo windy.......with a heavy heart we packed up early we had items flying into our neighbours stall all over the place we had tied the canopy down with everything we could lay our hands on and it was still lifting so lara and i decided we had had enough and went home i hadnt been very well all week anyway.....so i am very sorry if any of you came looking for us we will be at the next one if mother nature plays nicely....and thanks everyone who helped us out on saturday champions we appreciated your help and understanding......until next time jknee & lara.....
