heartbreaking............

I have had such an emotional day today we went to my inlaws place down at yeronga not far from the river it was inundated with water....we went down today to clean the back yard up for them ,people came out from everywhere, it has restored my faith in mankind we were overwhelmed with the generocity, people were baking all night to keep us fed and cold drinks, they just kept coming .......one of the worse things i saw was my mother in law whose sewing room was washed away , she found her fabrics cottons etc up trees tangled in the mud i know she said it didnt bother her but i know different so thats where you my blogging buddies come in .....if you have any sewing needs ( fabric anything) that you no longer need i know someone who would make good use of them she loves nothing more than sewing for her 14 grandchildren....drop me a line if you can help i would appreciate it sooooooo much........thanks larz (my bestie) for everything today you worked your backside off .......until next time .......

update on the area...........

I sit here writing this with tears rolling down my face i can not comprehend what has happened in the last few days it has been an extremely gut wrenching time we live in the lockyer valley where alot of lives were lost....my family are all safe we were flooded in for a week we have minor property damage......my in laws are at Yeronga their house went under we can not get to them the roads are still cut......we will get there eventually.....there are alot of people helping them......my heart goes out to everyone who has been affected by this flood......
i simply can not watch the news anymore it is so so sad......

Well take 3 we are flooded in yet again......it doesnt worry me we have enough supplies for a week and i keep saying to everyone we are not like the poor people up north......today i thought mmmm what will i create today so i decided on recycling some pine pallets and the result was 2 lovely rustic benches photos coming , it is pouring down.....mmm whats next maybe an ark lol....its ok cows there will be room for you all.......until next time stay safe and as dry as one can be lol.....
